£629 Raised For Bay Hospital Charity
Residents at our Barrow independent living scheme Ramsey Park have raised £629 for the Bay Hospital Charity. The money will go towards providing dementia trollies for several of the wards at Furness General Hospital.
Residents raised the money from a tombola, raffle and bric-a-brac sale at a recent fun day.
Ramsey Park Scheme Manager Kathy Corn said: “Our residents decided to raise funds for dementia because it is very close to their hearts, and to give something back to the hospital for all the care they have received over the years. They raised a fantastic amount, but they have always been very supportive of our local charities. They raised £511 for South Lakes Birth Centre in 2017 and £441 for dementia care at FGH last year."
Residents are planning more fund raising soon.
