Meet Helen Jaggar, our Non-Executive Director
Helen is an experienced non executive with extensive governance experience. Helen works collaboratively, has a positive and dynamic leadership style and has an ability to bring people together to find a common solution. She is currently Vice Chair at Ofsted rated Outstanding Barnsley College and at Accent she chair's the Customer Experience Committee and is the Designated Board Member for complaints.
Helen worked in the public sector for 39 years. She became professionally qualified in housing whilst working for the London Borough of Camden and extended her professional portfolio into Human Resources and Organisational Development with Leeds City Council. In 2005, she became Chief Executive of Leeds South Homes and in 2007 became Chief Executive of Berneslai Homes until her retirement in 2019. Under Helen's leadership, Berneslai Homes were nationally renowned for their high performance, high customer satisfaction and value for money.
Helen's touchstone has always been about the customer being at the heart of everything and ensuring that their voice is heard and that they influence the strategic direction of services and recognise the impact that this can have on their community and place. Helen is values driven and fully committed to making a positive difference to people's lives.
