Government Officials Visit Accent Housing to See New Affordable Homes & Retrofit Program

Last Tuesday, 25 March, the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) announced a £2bn fund to boost housing supply by 18,000. On the same day, teams from the MHCLG and HM Treasury joined our team in Peterborough to visit some of our schemes and exciting new developments in the area.

During the visit, our team introduced them to our retrofit programme to improve the energy efficiency, warmth, and comfort of our customers’ homes, as well as our commitment to build homes to an EPC A rating.

We were also able to show the new homes being built which are part funded through Accent’s Strategic Partnership Programme with Homes England, which will provide new, high quality, energy efficient homes where they are most needed.

Hosting colleagues from the Government provided us with a fantastic opportunity to showcase our commitment to providing high-quality homes that are fit for the future, and we welcome future collaboration to deliver the new affordable housing at pace and scale.
