We want to let you know about an important leadership change at Accent that supports how we continue to grow and improve the services we provide to you.
From May 2025, Nigel Wright will join Accent as our Chair Designate. He’ll work closely with our current Chair, Tom Miskell, over the coming months to ensure a smooth handover before officially take on the role of Chair of the Board.
Nigel brings a huge amount of experience to Accent. He’s spent many years working in housing and finance, including as Chair of another housing association. He understands the housing sector really well and is especially passionate about making sure customers’ voices are heard at every level of decision-making. Nigel shares Accent’s values and is looking forward to learning more about Accent.
Our current Chair, Tom Miskell, will step down this year after completing his term as chair. Tom has played a big part in helping Accent become the organisation it is today - stronger, more focused, and ambitious about the difference we can make. We’d like to thank Tom for everything he’s done and wish him the very best for the future.
Nick Apetroaie, Accent’s Chief Executive, said:
"This is a really important moment for Accent, and I’m pleased to welcome Nigel as our new Chair. His experience, values and clear commitment to putting customers first make him a great fit for Accent. I also want to take this opportunity to thank Tom for his leadership, support and guidance over the past nine years. He’s played a huge role in getting us to where we are today."
This change won’t affect your home or the services you receive. But it’s an important moment for Accent, and a positive step as we continue to improve what we do and how we do it.
If you’d like to know more or have any questions, we’re always happy to help - just get in touch with us.
